genting!

HELLO I'M BACK!
didn't tell many ppl i left anw. but yeap five days spent in genting. i guess it was quite alright :D
Day 1reached school early in the morning at around seven plus. sigh my section got split up :/ so we were with the brasses. it was barely five minutes in the bus when BAM! everyone flew forward. and we got into an accident. haha basically it's cos a taxi wanted to go into the bus lane. and then the taxi banged into us! haiyoh.
so we had to wait for quite a while for a replacement bus. way to start a trip! played cards, slept, ate at yong peng O: reached the hotel, checked in. had dinner and watched the opening ceremony. they told us to mingle around and stuff. then okay loh. debrief! and slept because competition was the next day.
couldn't really sleep though. cos some people took up so much space on the bed! hahaha
Day 2rehearsal in the morning. horrible O: but when it came to the actual thing, we actually sounded okay! o.O like no obvious mistakes. ohwell. indoor themepark after that! :D haha it was quite fun. we sat the roller coaster. mag kept going omg! i was screaming for fun. haha then we went to watch the 4D show. wearing the 4D-glasses made my eyes really painful. headache ): the show was ali baba! which was kinda hard to understand. so the ride was quite boring. ohwell!
bumper cars next! haha it was mag's first time. so me, danica and vanessa were thinking of bumping her. but in the end other ppl bumped us too! like this small boy who bumped into me! twice somemore O: so embarrassing lah. small kids bumping us. then there was this guy who bumped into me. so i fed up, went to chase after him! i think he bumped all of us. cos danica bumped him back too.
haha i think the bumper cars was the most retarded one. bought coffee bean after that. caramel coffee ice blended :D we sat the float thingie, forgot the name. we wanted to bring our drinks, but they didn't allow! so no choice. oh there was this cute malay kid :D who smiled at me! hahahah.
went back to the hotel room. played cards! haha we played one round of daidi and got bored. so mag taught us a new game! haha abit too long-winded. me and danica were like okay can alr let's start! haha anw the game is fun :D we kept playing so many rounds. no idea what time we slept but i think it was quite late O: couldn't really sleep again :/
Day 3our section had two workshops! the first one was conducted by one of the judges who is a professional oboe player. but he came really late and left early. so it was nothing much. then lunch at kenny rogers cos we were sick of the hotel food.
the second workshop was conducted by this china guy. i say china because his english wasn't very good. went through the syf set piece. and during the workshop, i realised that the girl beside mag is quite similar to her! seeing how they moved from behind was quite funny :D oh and according to mag her playing is okay.
then there was this bassoon guy, the only one, he has good tone. when he played i was like woah! and he doesn't have a strap for his instru o.O then the girl had! same school too. vanessa said maybe it's cos he's a guy! haha ohwell.
friendship concert after that. we were the first band and we played grease :D haha i only like the ending part of the song. and the summer nights where we snap our fingers. and yay i can do alr :D but not very loud though. sigh. then they announced the results. haha we surprisingly got gold, on the dot O: and third overall.
ate food at night. was feeling hungry! :/ and i think this was the night we started falling sick. mag fell sick first.
Day 4we were supposed to have loads of free time! BUT. there was an extra sort of workshop thingie. so some of us went. mostly were the SLs. haha so okay loh. i like the conductor :D professor john howard! i hope i rmb correctly. yeah he was nice. and that was the first time i heard the set piece. which sounds better than the previous one. so yeah not bad. bassoon guy with good tone wasn't on stage! so couldn't play with him. there were two other ppl. but mag thinks they practised damn hard last night so be flawless that morning. i sadly have to agree! cos their tone still the same.
juniors were waiting outside for us haha. we didn't see them at first! but aww what nice juniors. thanks for helping us hold some of our stuff :D went back to keep our instrus before going to the outdoor themepark! haha. sat some of the rides. danica accompanied mag to sit the kiddy ride! while me and vanessa went to get a drink. then we wanted to win the huge bear but very hard to. ohwell!
it rained abit! sigh. haha then we went back to the hotel and played one round of bowling. i really suck at it O: it was quite retarded. and you know the score names? mag keyed them in. and it went like this:

haha we all have A in the middle! big coincidence. anw after that we had to prepare for the closing ceremony. vanessa was sick so she didn't play. GAH. before we went up, the thing that happened was pretty funny. and then i got annoyed. ohwell. we played worse btw.
we got a shock at some of the ppl who were the heads! O: like that clarinet guy. and the gay oboeist! eee. so disturbing. "if they can be heads, our whole section become the teachers-in-charge already!" hahahha
since mag and vanessa are sick, they kinda slept first. vanessa slept the earliest! then mag saw her sleep so she also slept. left me and danica watching tv. and commenting about the show. we were watching cornetto's love perhaps. which is really dumb! and the guys aren't even that romantic.
when the show finished, we went to sleep. and i actually could sleep! the day before we go back then i fall asleep. sigh.
Day 5we only ate cereal cos we weren't that hungry. and alot of ppl got stuck at the lift. then we went all the way up before making our way down haha. then back to singapore! talked and ate on the bus. ramly's burger hahaha. then yay finally back :D i'm really hungry though. gonna eat soon :D
